RRCBA community brief and measurable follow-through

From Activity to Evidence: What Comes Next for RRCBA

RRCBA has spent much of 2026 connecting pieces.

The 16 Community Standards. 5,000 Voices. Committees. Website, member and app pathways. The Refinery. Food-access work. Community-benefits accountability.

The next phase should be different.

It should be about evidence.

1. TURN 5,000 VOICES INTO USEFUL PRIORITY DATA

Continue collecting affirmations and priorities, while being transparent that this is voluntary community engagement—not a scientific poll. Use the patterns to improve outreach, committee focus, education and follow-up.

2. MAKE PARTICIPATION PATHWAYS RELIABLE

Keep testing the website, forms, member pathways and automations until people can move from interest to a clear next step without disappearing into a spreadsheet, inbox or disconnected system.

3. TEST THE FOOD-SYSTEM MODEL

Build the demand-versus-supply picture, identify a small first group of products and learn from real transactions before pursuing larger infrastructure.

4. STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY-BENEFITS ACCOUNTABILITY

Organize commitments around a simple standard: PROMISE → EVIDENCE → OUTCOME. Separate what was discussed, what was formally committed, what evidence exists and what changed for the community.

5. KEEP LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT CONCEPTS IN FEASIBILITY MODE

Separate long-term vision from public approval. Test ownership, operations, financing, community benefit, risk and feasibility before presenting any concept as ready for implementation.

6. KEEP THE REFINERY MOVING FROM TALK TO TESTS

Use future sessions to capture real-world knowledge, then deliberately route useful insights into committees, partners, pilots or research.

7. SHOW THE WORK

Make complicated issues easier to understand through articles, email, social media and community tools. Public trust grows when people can tell what is finished, what is still being built and what evidence supports a claim.

THE STANDARD FOR THE NEXT PHASE

The question is no longer only: Did we have the meeting?

The better questions are: What changed? What moved? What was tested? What did we learn? What evidence do we have? What happens next?

That is how community activity becomes community capacity.

There is no stability without solidarity and no solidarity without stability.
